Volunteer Opportunities

The ADRC has ongoing volunteer opportunities for home delivered meal delivery and in our volunteer escort transportation program.

Volunteers are reimbursed mileage at the current Federal reimbursement rate of $0.575 per mile. Home Delivered Meal drivers often choose to drive a route once per week.

Volunteer escort trips are for medical appointments or grocery shopping.

There are other volunteer opportunities through the RSVP program. For more information contact out office today.

Volunteer Guardianship is one of the volunteer opportunities available in Oneida County.

RSVP Volunteers

Volunteers are eligible for mileage from your home to the site that you are volunteering at and then back home again. If your volunteer assignment is driving such as Meals on Wheels or Volunteer Escort Rides, you are paid the full IRS mileage rate.

When you are registered with RSVP everything you are paid through your volunteering is tax exempt. We also carry additional liability and accident insurance on you above and beyond what you already have, this covers you and not your automobile.
